Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track which dealt with the subject of race and sexuality. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood following the release of several rap songs. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents from Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came through the trumpet. Also, she received Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. In college, she studied writing and women's studies. Then, she even had an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. This album also featured songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. The song was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. In addition to having a book published and a singer, she was also a professional singing. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies such as Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
